Those who love Franciacorta often love the sensations of extreme delicacy and finesse that Chardonnays can express here. Accomplice is a particular soil and a unique geological conformation. It is no coincidence that Franciacorta is a land of satén, delicate Blanc de Blancs, in the Brut version, a type produced only here. A fine example is this Sansevé, Franciacorta DOCG proposed by Monte Rossa. It has a unique personality that makes it particularly suitable for convivial moments. The Satén, it is worth remembering, has a particularity. Compared to ordinary classic method sparkling wines, it has a bottle pressure of less than 5 atmospheres, which makes its perlage particularly delicate. Sansevé rests on the lees for a minimum of 24 months. In the glass it has a beautiful straw yellow colour, with extremely fine and delicate bubbles. On the nose, beautiful notes of fresh fruit, pear and peach, yeast and bread crust. In the mouth, it is harmonious and complex, fresh and persistent. A historic winery in Franciacorta, at Monte Rossa the farming tradition has merged harmoniously with technology. Today it is his son Emanuele who enthusiastically carries on that project. Among the first in Franciacorta to abandon the production of still wines, at Monte Rossa they have always invested in technology, continuing to experiment in the cellar. Today, the company can count on a vineyard of around 70 hectares, divided into numerous crus, on different soils and with different exposures, which contribute to broadening the aromatic heritage of the grapes, to compose cuvées rich in structure and complexity. Annual production is around 500 thousand bottles. All to be savoured.
