      Crémant de Loire Brut Blanc
    • Born from the loving marriage of two grape varieties that best express the elegance and richness of the Loire region: Chenin Blanc and Chardonnay. We are talking about Arnaud Lambert's Crémant de Loire Brut. Here, Chenin, which alone accounts for around 90% of the blend, is the symbolic variety of the region. Appreciated for its freshness and versatility, it is accompanied by a small proportion of Chardonnay, which for its part contributes softness and structure, ensuring a perfect balance in the glass. The Loire region, and in particular Saint-Cyr-en-Bourg, offers ideal conditions for the production of high quality wines. The soils of this area combine sandy loam with limestone and clay, favouring the growth of grapes rich in aromas and acidity. Harvesting is done by hand and allows only the best bunches to be selected, while preserving the integrity of the grapes all the way to the cellar. The wine is produced according to the Traditional Method, with a 24-month bottle ageing ‘sur lattes’. In the glass, Crémant de Loire is a luminous straw yellow, accompanied by a fine and delicate perlage. On the nose, it offers an inviting bouquet with hints of dried fruit, quince and a light note of bread crust. On the palate, it is fresh and savoury, with a full, creamy mouthfeel that invites another taste. Perfect for an elegant aperitif, it also goes well with shellfish, seafood and poultry. Try it, in particular, with the classic ‘French style’ roast chicken.

Today we are in the heart of France, where the Loire traces a winding path between vineyards and castles. Here we find Domaine Arnaud Lambert, a winery that, since its foundation in 1996, has embarked on a path to enhance the unique terroirs of Saint-Cyr-en-Bourg and Brézé, in the heart of the Saumur-Champigny appellation. It all began with Yves Lambert, Arnaud's father, who at the age of 47 decided to change his life and return to his roots in the ‘Terres de Saumur’. His ambition? To bring out the best of the terroirs of Saint-Cyr-en-Bourg, working on both Cabernet Franc and Chenin Blanc. In 2005, Arnaud joined his father, sharing his passion and ideals. Together, they set up an ambitious project: to produce wines that reflect the essence of the terroir, expressing the minerality and complexity of the local soils. In 2009, the turning point: the Domaine de Saint-Just undertook the conversion to organic farming. A choice dictated by the desire to respect the environment and obtain healthy, high-quality grapes. Finally, 2018 also saw the adoption of the principles of biodynamic agriculture, for an even deeper understanding of the rhythms of nature and the interaction between the vineyard and the cosmos.
