    "Trerè" Spumante Brut
  • Spumante Brut from Azienda Agricola Trerè originates in the heart of Romagna, a region renowned for its long winemaking tradition and the good quality of its bubbles. In this case, the grapes used to produce the sparkling wine come from vineyards located at an altitude of 70 metres above sea level, with an east-southeast exposure. Trerè Brut is produced from a blend of Chardonnay (95 per cent) and Famoso (5 per cent), an indigenous grape variety of Romagna. This, with its pronounced acidity and distinctive aromatic notes, adds freshness and complexity to the finished wine. Harvesting begins in the first ten days of August, when the grapes have reached the right degree of ripeness. Manual harvesting ensures the selection of the best bunches, which are immediately taken to the cellar for processing. The wine is produced according to the long Charmat method, i.e. the fermentation of the base wine in the autoclave is prolonged for several months. In the glass, this bubbly has a pale straw yellow colour. The nose reveals a great aromatic charge, with fragrant sensations of pear and green apple interwoven with herbaceous tones of sage and bean peel, citrus fruits and a slight hint of white almond. In the mouth, it stands out for its freshness, thanks to an important acidic vein brought by Famoso. The finish is citrusy, with notes of mandarin and lime that leave a refreshing and persistent sensation. Designed to be enjoyed young, this sparkling wine is ideal with appetisers and aperitifs. Also excellent with shellfish and crustaceans.

    An oasis of 35 hectares of vineyards in the hills of Faenza. The Trerè farm was established in the early 1960s. Valeriano Trerè, father of Morena, the current owner, founded it. It started with 14 hectares, on the first hills of Faenza. Podere Saccona, this is the name of the estate, is located in a magical place, rich in noble traditions and unique ceramic art treasures. It began by producing three DOC wines of the area, Albana, Trebbiano and Sangiovese. Then, in 1976, the daughter joined the company, who discovered in herself a strong passion for wine production. Today, the third generation, represented by their son Massimiliano, has also entered the business. Now the farm, after the acquisition of Podere Ca' Lunga and another 3 hectares of Podere Saccona, covers an area of 35 hectares, 31 of which are cultivated with vines. Many wines produced and the aim of continuing to enhance the rich natural heritage they have at their disposal. Especially now that, finally, Romagnoli wines are also being recognised and appreciated around the world.
