    Prosecco DOC Brut
  • Those who criticize Prosecco often do so because they don't drink it in the right way. Prosecco is traditionally produced in the Extra Dry version which, despite the name, is not dry but slightly sweetish. It's why it is good. What makes it perfect as an aperitif and, at the limit, also allows it to accompany an unconventional end to a meal. But bringing it to the table definitely requires more. You need a drier wine with little, if any, residual sugar. And Serena Wines, in this case, offers us exactly that. A Prosecco DOC, produced with Glera grapes coming from different areas of the denomination, vinified in autoclave and finished with little, very little sugar. On the label, in fact, there is the clear indication Brut. So green light for a food pairing. A nice idea, for example, could be to use it to blend in a nice seafood risotto. Or to serve it very fresh next to a fried fish. Delicious dish and pleasant wine. What more could you ask for from a love wedding like this?

The location is in the heart of the Prosecco region. Here, among the great companies of the area, is Serena Wines 1881. We are just a stone's throw from Conegliano, where the hills are gentle and the vineyards are dotted with juicy grapes. Serena Wines is, in spite of its size, a family business, led today by the fourth and fifth generations, embodied by Giorgio and Luca Serena. Today the company owns four estates, from which come most of the grapes used to produce the good wines of tradition. Prosecco, in particular, both in the DOC version and in the two DOCG variants, Asolo and Conegliano Valdobbiadene, represent the true strength of the company. For several years now, Serena Wines has also owned a small winery in Champagne.
