    Franciacorta Brut DOGC
  • If Franciacorta is your love but you wish to experiment with a different product, this Brut offered by Santus is for you. A Brut different from all others, thanks to the delayed harvest. Grapes processed when they are riper and therefore able to highlight the terroir of origin. Harvested by hand, as per Franciacorta tradition, 80% Chardonnay and 20% Pinot Noir. Vinification in wood and long stay on the lees. Everything is done to create a superior quality wine. The result is worth the effort. In the glass, it has a beautiful intense yellow color with a dense perlage that rises from the bottom of the glass to the surface. On the nose it has persuasive and delicate aromas that soon develop into more intense notes of tropical fruit and honey. On the palate it is pleasantly dry and creamy. A wine of great elegance and superior finesse.

Maria Luisa Santus and Gianfranco Pagano, both agronomists, in 1995 decided to devote themselves entirely to viticulture in Franciacorta. And they do so in the conviction that they can obtain excellent results, from a suitable territory, and thanks to their advanced scientific knowledge. They started with a bang. Within three years, they planted about 60,000 vines on 10 hectares of land and since then they have personally taken care of every aspect of cultivation. At the base of their philosophy, there is the conviction that the task of small winemakers is to be a vanguard, defending diversity and all the nuances that nature offers, refusing any standardization. In this context, it is almost natural that they are convinced to follow organic viticulture, an essential tool for environmental protection and the production of wines with strong character. The peculiarity of Santus is that it does not work Cuvée but always bottles the product of individual vintages.
