Franciacorta DOCG Brut Blanc de Blancs
    • We are in Franciacorta. In this land of great wines, vines have always been cultivated and the Antinori family owns a beautiful estate, where they produce classic DOCG wines, obtained by the method of re-fermentation in the bottle. The estate is called Montenisa and is located right in the heart of Franciacorta, near the Borgo di Calino. Marchese Antinori Blanc de Blancs is made from the best Chardonnay grapes, to which a small percentage of Pinot Blanc is sometimes added to obtain an elegant cuvée with refined freshness. The flower must is fermented in stainless steel tanks. Once the base wine has been made, the cuvée is bottled for the subsequent prise de mousse, which lasts no less than 24 months. Pale yellow in colour, this Franciacorta DOCG presents itself in the glass covered with a beautiful creamy froth, supported by a fine and persistent perlage. The nose is fragrant and immediate, with floral and fruit notes reminiscent of apple and white-fleshed peach. In the mouth, on the other hand, it is noted for its beautiful liveliness and freshness, accompanied by good balance and distinct elegance. Starters and aperitifs are ideal drinking moments. But thanks to the subtlety of its aromas and the restrained dosage, it is a bottle that also lends itself well to being placed on the table to accompany all-fish lunches and dinners.

It can be said that the Antinori family has represented Italian wine in the world for practically as long as it has existed. And that would not even be an exaggeration given that the Antinori have been dedicated to the vineyard and the cellar for more than six hundred years. Ever since Giovanni di Piero Antinori joined the Arte Fiorentina dei Vinattieri in 1385. Since then, no less than 26 generations of the family have succeeded one another at the helm of the group, which today is one of the best known and most appreciated worldwide. Today, the company is headed by Marchese Piero Antinori, with the support of his three daughters Albiera, Allegra and Alessia, all personally involved in the company's activities. To the family's historic Tuscan and Umbrian estates, several others have been added over time. Everywhere, the aim of the Antinori family is to make the most of the peculiar terroir, to produce fascinating and somehow memorable wines. Among the 'masterpieces' signed by Antinori, one cannot forget the family's great Supertuscans, Solaia and Tignanello, mythical bottles that enthusiasts all over the world eagerly await, vintage after vintage. Or the Chianti Classico wines that represent a quality benchmark for all enthusiasts.
