There is no better label than a Satén to savor the freshness and clarity of a true Franciacorta. Produced from Chardonnay grapes only, the one offered here by Santus comes from a particular harvest slightly delayed respect to the usual. This choice against the trend is made to try (and succeed) in giving the wine more body and a more complex structure. This is also helped by the processing in the cellar, with maceration on the skins, alcoholic and malolactic fermentation in barriques, followed by aging of the base wines, also in barriques, for at least 6 months. The result is a surprisingly subtle bubble and a wine characterized by an intense yellow color. On the nose, it is vast and elegant.
