A pure expression of Chardonnay, the Franciacorta Brut Satèn is a downplayed and extremely delicate sparkling wine. The finessed and subtle nature of the wine is further reinforced by the cool and moist characteristics of the vintage (that generally resulted in thinner, lighter wines). This expression is aged in a combination of steel and barrique. Once the cuvée is established, the wine ages in bottle for four years. This results in a delicate bouquet that is accented by candied lemon, almond, grapefruit and freshly baked bread.
Lots of white pepper and apple puree with some lemon-rind character on the nose and palate. Some flint, too. It’s medium-bodied with a linear, flavorful palate. Dry and delicious. Drink now.
Aromas of bitter walnut, orange rind, chamomile and toasted bread crust propel out of the glass. The aromas carry over to the racy palate along with yellow-apple skin while continuous bubbles and vibrant acidity provide the backdrop. It finishes on a bitter note. KERIN O’KEEFE

The most delicate and elegant soul of the Franciacorta land. No better words can be chosen to describe this extraordinary wine from the house of Bellavista. Produced only in the best years, when the Chardonnay grapes reach perfect ripeness in the high hillside vineyards run by the company. The selection of grapes is meticulous to say the least, as well as the slow maturation in small lightly toasted oak barrels. The real magic, however, comes afterwards, when the cuvee is assembled and the wines rest for at least 4 years on their lees. So much is needed for this Franciacorta to achieve the right aromatic complexity. The style of the house. In the glass, in spite of the low pressure of the bottles so typical for the Satèn style, the foam is abundant, generated by a very fine perlage that flows non-stop from the bottom of the glass. The colour is golden straw, while the scents recall rose, ripe citrus and a hint of noisette. The palate reveals a smooth and creamy wine, perfectly balanced between mature touches and fresh sensations.

Created in 1977 from a dream of the entrepreneur Vittorio Moretti who chose this estate near Erbusco to give life to his own entrepreneurial project. A project that today, a few years later, coincides with the large group that bears the name of Terra Moretti and that produces, in various corners of Italy, excellent and exclusive wines. The name of the winery, as few people know, refers to the hill on which the winery stands and from which you can admire Lake Iseo, the Po Valley and the nearby Alps in just one glance. The estate can now count on over one hundred plots of land scattered throughout the territory from which the grapes used for the production of classic method sparkling wines come. About a million and a half bottles a year. But there's no need to worry if the numbers look decidedly important.
