    • Sensations Characterised by a straw yellow colour, with a fine, intense and persistent perlage, Gancia Alta Langa Brut presents intense notes reminiscent of vanilla and bread crust. The balanced and structured taste gives a good fragrance, minerality and a long finish.
    • Vinification The grapes are gently pressed using a Marmonnier press in the historic cellars – recognised as a World Heritage Site – where only the heart of the must is vinified. The must from each pressing and batch is fermented both in barriques and in steel tanks until the cuvée is prepared and the wine is racked for the second fermentation in the bottle on the lees. This is followed by ageing on the lees for at least 30 months at a controlled temperature.

    • Piedmont, land of great red wines, but also the cradle of the Italian Metodo Classico. It is here, in fact, among the hills of the Alta Langa, that Fratelli Gancia created the first Italian sparkling wine back in 1865, inspired by its cousins from French Champagne. We are in a unique area, characterised by vineyards located at an altitude of between 250 and 600 metres. A magical place that gives the grapes a freshness and acidity ideal for the production of high quality sparkling wines. The Alta Langa DOCG was established in 2002 and is the designation that protects and promotes Piedmontese classic method sparkling wines. Produced with Pinot Noir and Chardonnay grapes, Gancia's Alta Langa DOCG Brut is a really interesting label for those who want to discover these classy bubbles. The grapes, from selected vineyards, are hand-picked and placed in boxes, and undergo careful analysis to guarantee the highest quality. The wine-making takes place in the Gancia Cellars in Canelli. Here, the soft pressing of the grapes and the fermentation in barriques and steel tanks contribute to creating a sparkling wine of great elegance and complexity. After ageing on the lees for at least 30 months, Alta Langa DOCG Brut has a straw yellow colour and a fine, intense and persistent perlage. On the nose, intense notes of vanilla and bread crust, while on the palate the flavour is balanced and structured, with a good fragrance, minerality and a long finish.       Since 1850, Cantine Gancia has been a symbol of excellence in the Italian wine scene, with a history that is intertwined with that of Italian sparkling wine. Founded by Carlo Gancia, a Piedmontese visionary, the company has been able to combine tradition and innovation, becoming a global point of reference for lovers of wine and quality aperitifs.
