It is called Gran Trio, and is a Salento IGT Rosso, and is proposed by Cantine di San Marzano. A wine that encapsulates the essence of Salento, a land of sun, sea and lush vineyards. An unprecedented red wine born from the encounter of three indigenous grape varieties: Primitivo, Malvasia Nera and Negroamaro. A wine capable of providing a unique sensory experience, rich in intense aromas and flavours. The grapes, carefully selected and hand-picked, are vinified separately with temperature-controlled maceration. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel, preserving the freshness and varietal aromas. This is followed by a short bottle ageing that completes the wine's harmony. The colour is intense ruby red, with garnet reflections that evoke the ripeness of the grapes. The nose reveals a complex and enveloping bouquet, where notes of ripe cherries and plums intertwine with spicy hints of black pepper and cocoa. In the mouth, it is structured and soft, with velvety tannins and a pleasant freshness that accompanies a long, savoury finish. The sip is balanced and harmonious, with a persistence that leaves the palate pleasantly satisfied. Perfect to accompany tasty traditional Apulian dishes, it marries beautifully with red meats, roasts with elaborate sauces and moderately mature cheeses.
