A fresh, fine-tannined red with blackcurrants, walnuts and hints of thyme that follow through to a medium body with a fresh, pretty finish. Drink or hold.
Lavischio like the river that flows and sets the boundaries of the Poggio Salvi estate. A wine made only from Merlot grapes that gives the nose perceptions of berries, currants and violets. The mouthfeel develops elegantly, accompanying the entire meal without hesitation.
Pierluigi Tagliabue was one of the pioneers who decided to focus on the Montalcino territory when it was not yet so fashionable. Over the years, he has transformed Villa Poggio Salvi into one of the most solid realities in the area: 20 hectares of vineyards cultivated with Sangiovese Grosso, used to produce Rosso di Montalcino DOC, Brunello di Montalcino DOCG Annata and Brunello di Montalcino DOCG Riserva.
