  • Sensations With a purplish-red colour of great intensity, it displays on the nose aromas of ripe fruit such as cherry, blackberry and some hints of black pepper. The mouth is full, with lots of volume on the attack and a suave, persistent tannic structure. The finish is characterised by a beautiful freshness and a pleasant fruity aromatic sensation.
  • Vinification Vinification was done separately in small steel vats, respecting the different varietal characteristics during fermentation. Alcoholic fermentation was followed by malolactic fermentation, again in steel tanks. The ageing phase lasted 10 months, part in barriques, previously used for Ornellaia, the other part in cement tanks, to obtain a perfect balance between tannic structure and fruity expression.

And if this were not enough, each bunch harvested at Ornellaia is then subjected to a double selection process: a first sorting table to verify quality and then a second check to remove any residual vegetation.
