  • Sensations Bright ruby. The nose reveals fresh scents of black cherries, violets, blueberries, peonies, hints of minerals and nuances of Mediterranean scrub. On the palate, the wine is fresh, savoury, full-bodied, pleasantly fruity, subtle in its savoury aspect and with calibrated and gentle tannins.
  • Vinification The grapes are hand-picked in boxes and selected in the cellar, fermentation is carried out with indigenous yeasts and vinification takes place in steel tanks. The ageing process, about one year, involves second and third hand used barriques and 30 and 50 hl casks. Refinement in bottles for at least 6 months.

  • In jargon, one speaks of a Bordeaux blend to indicate those wines, produced all over the world, that are born from the happy marriage of Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot grapes. Both varieties from the French region of Bordeaux lend themselves, in the various countries, to the addition of some native vines to complete the blend and make it closer to the tastes of that particular market. Thus, in Tuscany, Cabernet and Merlot are often blended with Sangiovese in the production of wines that, by convention, are defined as Super Tuscan. Such is the case with this Hebo from Petra. The grapes, harvested by hand only when fully ripe, are skilfully processed with great attention to fermentation temperatures. The wine produced is left to mature in the cellar for a period of no less than one year in Slavonian oak casks and, to a small extent, in barriques. The result is a wine characterized by an intense ruby red colour. To the nose, red and black fruit dominate over everything, leaving room only for a slight spiciness due to the expert aging in wood. On the palate, however, it is well-structured. Justly tannic and pleasantly long finish.
