      "Campaltino" Toscana Rosso IGT 2022
    • The Campaltino, Toscana Rosso IGT, offered here by the Vecchia Cantina di Montepulciano, comes from the processing of pure Sangiovese grapes. They come from the provinces of Siena and Arezzo, in the heart of Tuscany. Campaltino is a simple but non-trivial wine, the result of a careful processing of the best grapes harvested by the members of the winery. The wine is vinified at a controlled temperature in red wine and, after racking, it matures in stainless steel tanks for about eight months before being bottled. We thus discover a red wine characterised by a beautiful ruby colour of medium intensity with violet reflections. The nose is pleasantly fruity, with clear hints of red berries, such as strawberry and cherry. In the mouth, it turns out to be a pleasantly soft wine, well balanced in all its components. The tannin, well present but not intrusive, makes it the perfect wine to accompany a Sunday barbecue. Red meat and cured meats are the natural companions of this fine Tuscan red.
