CHARACTERISTICS
  • TypeVino spumante
  • Location Tuscany
  • Grapes Chardonnay, Pinot Nero e Pinot Bianco
  • Sensations Cuvée Voyage has a wonderful clear straw yellow colour and a persistent perlage. The nose is fragrant, with notes of white flesh fruit, such as white peach and ripe apple. The fruity tone is composite and complex, with hints of pineapple and lemon, as well as hints of white flowers and floral notes reminiscent of lime. In the mouth it is savoury, fresh and vertical, with a refreshing acidic vein and a solid body but without excess. The finish is harmonious.
  • Vinification The grapes underwent a slow and gentle pressing to extract the must from the heart of the berry. Once the cuvée is obtained, a 12-hour cold clarification is carried out to allow clarification. In March following the harvest, the different cuvées of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir were blended, followed by the addition of the liqueur de tirage and re-fermentation in the bottle. This was followed by ageing on the lees for at least 24 months. This was concluded with remuage and dégorgement followed by further ageing in the bottle.

    "Cuvée Voyage" Metodo Classico Brut
  • Cuvée Voyage, the Metodo Classico according to the Frescobaldi house. A Brut Quality Sparkling Wine, this wine was born from an emotional journey. The return of the young Leonia from France to the family palace in Florence, bringing with her the Chardonnay and Pinot Noir vines. The one elaborated by the beautiful Tuscan winery is a fresh and dynamic Metodo Classico. Captivating and modern. In the cuvée, in addition to the two noble French grape varieties, there is also a part of Pinot blanc that contributes to the complexity of the finished wine. Once the base has been assembled, the wine is bottled for the delicate frothing and subsequent maturation phase. Which in this case extends for a good 24 months. As soon as it is uncorked and poured into the glass, Cuvée Voyage appears a marvellous clear straw yellow colour, made even brighter by the presence of a persistent perlage. The nose is fragrant, with notes of white-fleshed fruit such as peach and ripe apple. The fruity tone is followed by hints of pineapple and lemon, as well as hints of white flowers and lime. In the mouth, finally, it is savoury, fresh and vertical, with a refreshing acidic vein and solid body but without excess. The finish is harmonious. Excellent right from the aperitif, this bubbly reveals enough class to hold its own in a wide range of pairings. From classic raw seafood to tasty fish soups. Never, as in this case, is our imagination really the only limit.
