      Bordeaux AOP 2021
    • This AOP Bordeaux well represents the style of Château Michelet. A small but concrete winery, capable of producing wines each year that are well representative of its territory. We are in the area called Entre-deux-Mers, one of the largest in the Bordeaux region, known for the quality of the white and red wines produced. In this case, the winery has made very good use of the complexity of Bordeaux grape varieties, creating a blend with predominantly Merlot, to which smaller parts of Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc are added. There is fruit, then, but also lots of power and freshness. A deep red color with violet hues, this wine surprises from the first moment with the complexity of its aromas. Intense and expressive, it has hints of jammy red fruit and a subtle spicy texture to back it up. In the mouth it is well balanced, with soft tannins and a long, very long, persistence. Excellent with game, it is a wine that is not in a hurry to be drunk. Good today and with a decent aging potential.

Pellegrue is a small French municipality located in the Gironde department in the New Aquitaine region. For wine lovers this means that we are within the AOC Entre-deux-Mers, one of the famous wine regions of Bordeaux. This is where Château Michelet is based, a small, very qualitative winery that makes extreme care of its vineyards a source of pride. The area, after all, is famous for its quality, elegant and structured wines made from both classic red grape varieties, such as Cabernet and Merlot, and white grape varieties, particularly Sauvignon Blanc and Sémillon.
