Château Lynch-Moussas is located on the great plateaus to the west of the Pauillac appellation. We are in the heart of the Bordeaux region, of course, where Merlot and Cabernet are unrivalled. The Château, Cinquième Grand Cru Classé for the famous 1855 classification, produces wines of fine concentration and personality. Wines that can be appreciated from a young age but are also suitable for medium ageing in the cellar. Owned by the Castéja family, the company is known for the finesse of its wines, the right compromise between elegance and structure. Planted on gravelly soils, this Bordeaux red is made from a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon in clear majority, with a generous portion of Merlot to back it up. After vinification, the wines are aged for 18 months in French oak barrels, about 55% of which are new. The colour is intense and impenetrable, with an evident garnet reflection. The nose is complex, with aromas reminiscent of roses, chocolate and dark fruits such as blueberries and blackberries. Intriguing notes of roasting and smoke complete the picture. In the mouth, it is fresh and pleasantly mineral. Tannic and long. You can't go wrong. When the wine on the table is this Bordeaux, meat must be the star of the menu.
