Château Les Grands Chênes Médoc 2018
  • This Médoc produced by Château Les Grands Chenes can be considered a true benchmark for the Bordeaux appellation. It comes from a common blend of 60% Merlot grapes with Cabernet Sauvignon. Vinification in small temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks, at the end of processing the wine is left to mature in classic French oak barrels for no less than 16 months. The result is a wine characterized by a beautiful, decidedly dark and impenetrable ruby red color. On the nose, distinct hints of dark fruits, such as blackberry, and flowers, such as violets and peonies. Then delicate hints of licorice and chocolate. In the mouth there is a perfect correspondence with what was perceived earlier, with ripe fruit notes mingling with violet nuances and delicate hints of licorice. Its ideal pairing is undoubtedly meat. Try it, for example, with tasty pork chops.

Situated in an exceptional terroir and neglected for too many years, Château Les Grands Chenes has been reborn thanks to the substantial investments made by its new owner, Bernard Magrez. A long redevelopment project that has taken nearly 10 years to reach completion. The estate enjoys an exceptional terroir on the famous hill of Saint Christoly-du-Médoc. A magical and unique place from which you can see the river meeting the ocean. Today this company has won international acclaim both for the quality of its products and their attractive price-performance ratio. Undoubtedly one of the most attractive wines produced in Bordeaux.
