Champagne Premier Cru, Le Rocheforts, Extra Brut from Maison Etienne Calsac is made from Chardonnay grapes grown in the Les Rocheforts parcel. We are located in the commune of Bisseuil, in the Vallée de la Marne. This Premier Cru classified village is renowned for its soils rich in limestone and chalk outcrops, which give the grapes a vibrant minerality and unique aromatic complexity. The Premier Cru classification in Champagne, it should be remembered, identifies the best vineyards in the region. A Blanc de Blancs with character, the Chardonnay grapes used for this Champagne are vinified partly in steel and partly in wood. This vinification process produces a complex and structured wine with a fine balance between fruity and mineral notes. The Extra Brut dosage, with only 3 grams of sugar per litre, leaves room for the pure expression of terroir and grape variety. Le Rocheforts Extra Brut goes perfectly with raw fish dishes, noble shellfish and white meats. Today, it is appreciated for its liveliness and fruity expression.
