Champagne Laherte Frères Blanc de Blancs Brut Nature
    • Champagne Blanc de Blancs, Brut Nature, from Maison Laherte Frères is a wine of great elegance and refinement, made from 100% Chardonnay from the vineyards of Chavot. We are located in the Côte des Blancs, a region renowned for its chalky soils, which give the wines a distinctive minerality and vibrant freshness. Chardonnay, in particular, benefits from a temperate continental climate, with cold winters and warm summers, ideal for its balanced ripening. To be Blanc de Blancs, a Champagne (and a sparkling wine in general) must be made exclusively from white grapes, as in this case. This style is characterised by elegance, finesse and aromas of citrus fruits, white fruits and white flowers. In this case, then, we are dealing with a Brut Nature, i.e. without added sugar after disgorging, characterised by a dry taste and lively acidity. In the glass, it has a beautiful bright straw yellow colour. On the nose, it reveals a complex and fascinating bouquet, dominated by notes of citrus, white fruit, white flowers and chalk. In the mouth, however, it is fresh and vibrant, with a fine and persistent bubble. The minerality of the terroir is felt on the finish, which leaves a pleasant sensation of freshness and savouriness. Ideal as an aperitif, it accompanies fish starters, first courses and shellfish. Also to be tried with fresh cheeses, spicy or slightly spicy dishes.

Maison Laherte Frères, located in Chavot in the Côteaux Sud d'Epernay, is a Champagne estate renowned for its dedication to biodynamic viticulture and the high quality of its wines. Aurélien Laherte, a talented winemaker and leading figure on the BIO Champagne scene, has been able to convert the family business, founded in 1889, to this philosophy, combining tradition and innovation. Today, the company can count on some 17 hectares of vineyards, along the Marne, south of Epernay and in the Côte des Blancs, terroirs suited to the cultivation of Chardonnay, Pinot Meunier and Pinot Noir grapes. The conversion to biodynamic agriculture has made it possible to enhance the naturalness of the terroir and to obtain grapes of the highest quality. In the cellar, spontaneous fermentation, the use of oak barrels and bâtonnage are favoured to enhance the aromas of the grapes and achieve a perfect balance between sugars and acidity. The result is wines that stand out for their purity, complexity and minerality. Vibrant freshness and elegant structure are common characteristics of all the cuvées, which offer a variety of aromatic and taste nuances.
