    Mâcon Villages Bio 2020
  • An elegant Burgundy Chardonnay in one of its best-known appellations, Mâcon-Villages. But that's not all. This intriguing white is also organic. Proposed by Closerie des Alisiers, it comes from one of the areas of Burgundy best known for the richness of its Chardonnays. We are in the south of the region, in an area protected by hills, where the grapes are able to reach perfect ripeness and give great satisfaction every year. Young, vigorous vines, cultivated with organic certification, are harvested between September and October. The harvested grapes are processed in the traditional way, so as to enhance the most delicate aromas of the fruit and the freshness and minerality typical of the area. Golden yellow in colour with green hues, the nose reveals a very intense bouquet of flowers and citrus fruits, with sweet notes of yellow pulp fruit and a slight hint of dried fruit on the finish. In the mouth, however, it is fresh and rich. Quince and citrus fruits recur endlessly, creating a balanced and rich wine.

In 2007, Stephane Brocard, son of Jean Marc Brocard, a well-known Chablis winemaker, founded his own Maison in Marsannay, in the north of the Côte de Nuits. The company owns about 2 hectares of vineyards in Pommard and Daix. In addition to the labels produced directly on his own plots, however, Stephane Brocard has created Closerie des Alisiers, a line of wines that best represents the different territories of origin. Wines belonging to different regional appellations, villages, Cru and Grand Cru of Burgundy. From Chablis to the Mâconnais, passing through many of the best appellations of the Côte de Nuits and the Côte de Beaune. All wines are made through close partnerships with local winemakers in different areas. Authentic, territorial wines that are made with the utmost respect for the environment.
