Spumante "Cuvée I Magredi" Ribolla Gialla
    • Valdo offers this interesting Brut sparkling wine, the result of an exclusive project strongly desired by the company's owners. Cuvée I Magredi Ribolla Gialla is produced according to the strict winemaking guidelines of the I Magredi estate, located within the Friuli Grave DOC denomination, from which the Ribolla Gialla grapes are sourced and made into sparkling wine according to Valdo's tradition and style. Even the distinctive label recalls the iconic circular vineyard on the Friulian estate. Soft pressing using only the first-pressing must and fermentation at a controlled temperature, the wine obtained is passed into an autoclave for the sparkling phase according to the Charmat method lasting approximately 90 days. Then, after bottling, it matures for a certain period in glass before finally being put on the market. Brilliant straw yellow with greenish reflections, it reveals a distinctive aroma on the nose. Delicate and complex at the same time, with delicate floral hints reminiscent of wisteria, lemon and iris. In the mouth it is delicately rounded, with elegant fruity and citrus sensations. The finish is long and harmonious. Excellent throughout a meal, this sparkling wine goes well with risottos and fish-based first courses.

The history of Valdo is closely linked to that of the Bolla family, made up of passion and entrepreneurial spirit. A history that coincides to a large extent with that of the evolution of Prosecco and the development of the splendid territory where it is produced. It all started from an intuition of Abele, grandfather of Valdo's founder, Sergio Bolla. It was the year 1883 and Abele, then owner of an inn, which still exists in Soave, decided to start producing still wines to supply the best establishments in Venice and Milan. Success was so great that in 1926 a group of enterprising entrepreneurs from Valdobbiadene decided to join forces, creating the 'Società Anonima Vini Superiori', a company mainly dedicated to the sparkling of Valdobbiadene Prosecco Superiore and Cartizze. In 1938, Sergio Bolla, son of Albano, acquired the Società Anonima Vini Superiori, which thus became the property of the Bolla family. From then on, the history is studded with success and satisfaction. In 1941, the company changed its name to Valdo. In 2002, the new production centre was inaugurated, and shortly afterwards the company expanded outside Italy, setting up two sister companies, one in Germany and one in the United States. Today Valdo is a colossus, in the best sense of the word. A company capable of producing excellent wines, taking the good name of Made in Italy all over the world.
