Only the best bunches are selected for this wine. The label bears the indication Valtellina Superiore DOCG. The vineyards are those of Teglio and Bianzone. The harvest is carried out as late as possible to allow the grapes to reach perfect ripeness. The strong temperature fluctuations, typical of Valtellina, give the Riserva La Gatta particularly intense, ample and delicate aromas. The complexity of the wine is also given by the richness of extracts, noble tannins and anthocyanins that the grapes release during the slow transformation. Most of the Riserva matures for years in large oak barrels, while a third is stored in small barrels. The end result is a wine with complex, intense and delicate aromas. In the mouth, it is savoury, with beautiful roundness and extraordinary elegance. A red of remarkable balance and harmony, it is capable of displaying all the great characteristics of mountain Nebbiolo. Red meats, roasts and cheeses are its natural match on the table.
