The versatility of Syrah is well known. A grape variety of ancient French origin, it is capable of adapting to a multitude of different climates and soils. And wherever it takes root, it gives life to wines that know how to get noticed. As in this case. In Bolgheri, in the magnificent natural amphitheatre of about 6 hectares of Podere Roseto, the grapes ripen slowly, kissed by a warm and generous sun, and kept cool by constant sea breezes. They thus arrive at the moment of harvest, rich in colour and fragrance, ready to be transformed in the cellar. The wine matures for almost a year in second-hand French oak barriques before being bottled without any filtration or clarification. The result is a wine characterized by an intense ruby red colour. On the nose, and in the mouth, it reveals intriguing, very persistent balsamic notes of mint and eucalyptus, then red fruit and fresh flowers. The tannins are sweet and well integrated.
