Vitiano Rosso is an Umbria IGT, proposed by the Cotarella family and coming from the beautiful Falesco estate. We are in the Orvieto area, known to most for the quality of its good white wines. In this case, however, it is the reds that are an authentic discovery. This is due to a careful selection of vines, very low yields, with less than two kilos of grapes per plant and a vinification of extreme cleanliness and technical correctness. Vitiano Rosso is made from Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Sangiovese grapes, processed at different times, according to the cycles of nature. It starts with a long maceration, during which numerous pumping over and punching down are carried out. Then, after alcoholic fermentation, and after blending the wines from the three varieties, malolactic fermentation is carried out in barriques. Vitiano Rosso is a young wine of explosive and succulent aromatic fragrance. Deep and intense ruby in colour, it has an important and solid bouquet. In the mouth it is intense and fresh, thanks to its natural acidity. A versatile red, innovative in conception and immediately and fully enjoyable. A wine easy to pair with satisfaction, even with elaborate and tasty meat dishes. For lovers of traditional dishes, it can be served with salmi game.
