Château Mont-Pérat, in the heart of the Entre-Deux-Mers region, between the Garonne and Dordogne rivers, combines tradition and innovation. The region benefits from a temperate oceanic climate, with hot summers and mild winters, which favours optimal ripening of the grapes. This Bordeaux Blanc, produced by Château Mont-Pérat, is a dry white wine made from a blend of 70% Sauvignon Blanc and 30% Sémillon. The Sauvignon Blanc brings freshness and aromatic notes of citrus fruits, while the Sémillon contributes body and complexity to the wine. The process begins with a manual harvest that guarantees the selection of the best grapes. After harvesting, the grapes are pressed at a low temperature in a controlled environment with nitrogen to prevent oxidation. The must is then transferred to steel tanks to cool for a few days. Subsequently, two thirds of the must is fermented in oak barrels. The ageing process continues for ten months in wood, giving the wine structure and complexity. The Bordeaux Blanc from Château Mont-Pérat has a brilliant straw yellow colour. On the nose, aromas of candied lemon and smoked verbena emerge. In the mouth it is direct, with a good consistency and a salty finish that invites you to take another sip. Its freshness and minerality make it ideal as an aperitif or to accompany vegetarian dishes.
