AOC Saint-Estèphe. We are in the heart of the Bordeaux area, where Château Lilian Ladouys produces excellent wines from grapes typical of the region. In this case, the blend is predominantly Merlot (around 55%), with Cabernet Sauvignon (40%), Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot in small quantities. Traditional vinification is followed by the delicate maturation phase, 40% of which takes place in new barrels and 20% in 400-litre barrels. At the end of this phase, the wine is then passed into terracotta jars and amphorae where it completes its maturation. A very intense garnet red colour, its nose is explosive and exudes notes of raspberry, cherries and bitter cocoa. Then intense floral notes reminiscent of a bouquet of spring flowers, cedar and sandalwood. In the mouth it is broad and fat, powerful and velvety. Perfectly balanced between freshness and fruit, this Bordeaux red wine offers a long finish with fine, well-perceptible tannins.
