For those who want a unique and special rosé, Munazei, Lacryma Christi Del Vesuvio Doc, is the right bottle. Because it is made from a pure vinification of Piedirosso grapes, typical of the area, but above all it comes from old vines that are still planted with free-range vines. We are in the hills, at about 250-300 metres above sea level, in Tirone della Guardia, inside the Vesuvius National Park. We start with a manual selection of the grapes, followed by the usual destemming and about 5 hours of maceration on the skins. At that point, when the must is coloured just enough, we move on to the temperature-controlled fermentation phase. This takes about 20 days to complete, and immediately afterwards the wine is left in steel containers for 6 months and a further 2 months in the bottle. We thus discover a wine characterised by a beautiful bright cherry colour, with an intriguing bouquet reminiscent of geranium flowers, fresh fruit and a subtle hint of mineral. In the mouth, it is a pleasantly smooth and fresh wine.
