Champagne Bollinger PN VZ19 Blanc de Noirs Brut
  • Bollinger Pinot Noir VZ19 is a Blanc de Noirs, a white Champagne made exclusively from red grapes. In this case from Pinot Noir, sourced from some of the best crus in Champagne. It is no coincidence that this wine represents a unique expression of Pinot Noir, the result of artisanal savoir-faire and meticulous grape selection. The initials VZ19 identify the year of the harvest, 2019, a vintage characterised by ideal climatic conditions that gave the grapes a perfect balance between ripeness and freshness. Renowned vineyards located in the communes of Verzenay, Aÿ, Avenay, Louvois, Mutigny and Tauxières, these fine crus are distinguished by their chalky limestone soils, which give the grapes a vibrant minerality and elegant structure. The region's cool climate then contributes to developing a perfect concentration of aromas in the grapes. VZ19 matures in contact with its yeasts for a minimum period of 8 years. This long period of maturation allows the Champagne to develop a complex and refined bouquet, with aromas of ripe fruit, spices and mineral touches. Observing it in the glass, one is captivated by its brilliant gold colour that heralds an unforgettable experience. The nose reveals a complex and harmonious bouquet, with notes of wild berries intertwined with hints of red fruit and exotic nuances. In the mouth, it seduces with its soft and silky texture, offering a rich and enveloping taste. The fruity notes are well supported by a crisp acidity. The minerality, typical of the terroir, emerges in the finish, giving the Champagne great complexity. Bollinger Pinot Noir VZ19 is an exceptional Champagne, perfect for celebrating special occasions or for treating oneself to a moment of pure pleasure. A precious gift for Champagne enthusiasts and discerning palates.

Undoubtedly one of Champagne's best-loved Houses, Bollinger is recognised as synonymous with refined style and incredible quality. The history of this legendary winery is also closely linked to that of the woman who led it with skill and expertise for years. In this case it is Elisabeth ‘Lilly’ Bollinger, a true entrepreneur capable of growing the company with the right mix of tradition and innovation. The history of the Bollinger winery began in 1829, and was immediately a great success, so much so that it became the official wine of the British royal house. And it was Queen Victoria, great-great-granddaughter of Elizabeth II, who gave the House of Aÿ the Royal Award, a great honour. Elizabeth also came up with the idea, very modern for her time, of linking the image of her wines to that of the most famous British spy, the legendary 007. Again, this was a real success. The first case of ‘product placement’. The Maison now owns about 160 hectares of vineyards throughout Champagne, with which it meets about 70% of its annual needs. Bollinger produces about 2 million bottles.
