    CHARACTERISTICS
    • TypeVino Champagne
    • Location France
    • Grapes Chardonnay 33%, Pinot Meunier 33%, Pinot Noir 33%
    • Sensations Pol Roger Brut Réserve presents a beautiful golden straw hue and abundant, fine bubbles. With a powerful and attractive nose, it first offers fruit aromas (pear, mango...) and then releases light flavors of honeysuckle and white jasmine, lingering on vanilla and brioche notes. Behind a blunt and dynamic attack, the wine packs a nice harmony and pleasant freshness, while retaining some structure. On the palate, cooked fruit flavors (quince jelly, apricot jam) mingle happily with fragrances of beeswax and acacia honey. The long-lasting aromas, composed of both fruit notes (candied orange peel, tangerine...) and spicy notes (cardamom, anis) is outstanding.
    • Vinification Once harvested, the grapes are immediately and gently pressed. The must undergoes a first débourbage (decantation) in the pressroom and a second in the cellar, à froid (at 6°C) over 24 hours. Alcoholic fermentation takes place at low temperature (18°C) in temperature-controlled stainless steel vats, keeping the varieties and productions of each village separate until final blending. All our wines undergo malolactic fermentation. After tasting, blending and bottling, secondary fermentation (prise de mousse) and maturation take place in the cool atmosphere of our cellars located 33 meters below sea level. Before disgorgement and dosage, each bottle undergoes a traditional remuage, and the wines rest for a minimum of three months before being marketed.
    • Alcoholic strength 12.5% vol
    • Allergens Contains sulphites

    • POL ROGER 1, Rue Winston Churchill, 51200 Épernay (France)

      Champagne Pol Roger Brut Réserve
    • It is the right bottle for those who want to reach the style of the Maison Pol Roger. Cuvée consistent in style and quality, elegant and refined. The perfect Brut Réserve Champagne for all occasions. It comes from a blend, in equal parts, of the three Champenois grape varieties: Pinot Noir, Pinot Meunier and Chardonnay. Grapes from as many as 30 different crus, plus a portion, about 25 percent, of reserve wines. After four years of maturation in the Maison's deep cellars, its style combines complexity, balance and distinction. In the glass, it is a beautiful golden straw color, with abundant, fine bubbles. The nose is powerful and attractive at the same time, with aromas of fruit, from pear to mango, then honeysuckle and white jasmine, vanilla and brioche. In the mouth, it is blunt and dynamic, endowed with beautiful harmony and pleasant freshness. Its structure and vinosity, as well as its elegance and freshness, offer an optimal balance between power and finesse, making it a perfect wine for the entire meal, to be served from the appetizer onward.

The British market has always been the most important market for the Pol Roger company, founded in 1849. Among the great admirers of the Épernay winery was Prime Minister Winston Churchill, who was bound by deep friendship with Maurice Pol Roger's daughter-in-law Odette. In honor of the statesman, in 1975, on the tenth anniversary of his death, a special cuvée was created. The funny thing is that no one knows exactly the blends of this wine. From the company they simply say that "this would have been Churchill's favorite Champagne." Beautiful historic wineries. Definitely worth visiting.
