We are in Chile, near the Andes mountain range. It is in a place as simply unique and magical as this that Cota 500 was born, one of the products conceived by Felipe Uribe, founder of the Andes Plateau winery. Cabernet Sauvignon in clear majority, this red wine also contains a small part of Syrah and Carignano grapes. A blend obtained exclusively from carefully selected, hand-picked grapes. Only indigenous yeasts are used for fermentation, while the wine is aged in used oak barrels, where it rests for about ten months. Ruby red in colour, the nose reveals an elegant bouquet, with notes of red fruit, spices and black pepper. In the mouth it reveals a red wine with a great tannic structure and a nice freshness that makes it vibrant and easy to drink. A pleasantly versatile wine, it goes well with a wide variety of dishes. From savoury meat-based first courses, such as rich baked pasta, to medium-aged cheeses.
