This blend of Montepulciano and Cabernet shows an integrated nose of fresh red cherry, tobacco, black pepper and mentholated herbs. Ripe and immensely juicy on the palate, it offers lots of tart red-cherry and blackberry flavors, with firm tannins and bright acidity to hold it all in check. ALEXANDER PEARTREE

      "Diecicoppe" Colline Pescaresi IGP
    • Abruzzo calling Bordeaux. Montepulciano and Cabernet Sauvignon in equal parts and a quick refinement in steel for a wine that stands out for its immediacy and ease of drinking. Diecicoppe di Pasetti presents itself in the glass with a pleasant ruby red colour with violet nuances. The nose is fresh and fruity, with notes of cherry and blackberry and well-ripened maraschino cherry. As the minutes pass, then, more and more vegetal memories of fresh grass and hay become perceptible. In the mouth it's just what you expect. An immediate and not excessively structured wine. Ample just enough to leave you feeling good, and smooth thanks to the alcohol that is present but not annoying. What is striking, however, is the overall balance. In spite of its youth, it stands out as a whole. The finish, particularly long, prolongs the pleasure of drinking for several seconds.

Winemakers have the task of not ruining the good things that nature gives them. A sacrosanct principle that is even more valid if the winery is located in a place of magical beauty and great vocation. This is undoubtedly the case of Cantina Pasetti, a winery in Abruzzo that can count on 60 hectares of vineyards, between Gran Sasso and Monti dell'Laga, in the heart of the National Park. This area, in fact, is characterized by strong temperature ranges, constant wind and particularly heterogeneous soils, which guarantee grapes of the highest quality. The many native vines of the region are mainly cultivated, starting with Montepulciano, the true protagonist of quality viticulture in recent years, but also Trebbiano d'Abruzzo, Pecorino and Passerina. Pasetti is a quality company that must be followed. It can be very satisfying.
