    In this wine, sourced from the winery's San Martino estate in Chieti, aromas of tobacco, baking spice and grilled herbs meld with a dense dark-cherry coulis core. The firm medium-bodied palate is silken in feel upon entry, built by ripe cherry and dark berry flavors. Rounded tannins provide solid support alongside tangy acidity.   • Montepulciano is a grape variety of great interest. Capable of producing a lot, without losing quality, when vinified with wisdom and special care, it can give life to simply enchanting wines. This is the case of this Montepulciano d'Abruzzo Riserva Marina Cvetic, one of the most representative labels of the Abruzzo-based Masciarelli winery. In the glass it captivates the eye with its beautiful ruby red colour, that is intense and particularly bright. The nose is an explosion of ripe, juicy red fruit, such as cherry or strawberry. Then notes of leather and tobacco, inherited from a wise use of wood in the cellar. In the mouth it is soft and rich. Silky and rightly tannic.

    Gianni Masciarelli, the unforgettable symbol of Abruzzo, founded his company in 1978. As in a beautiful fairy tale, at the end of the 80s, Gianni met Marina Cvetic with whom he bonds, professionally and personally. From that fortunate relationship, some of the most appreciated wines of the region were born. Marina Cvetic, above all, but also Villa Gemma or the Gianni Masciarelli. And then, more recently, the wines of Castello di Semivicoli. A small universe of quality that today is managed directly by Marina, Gianni's widow. 320 hectares, spread over 14 different municipalities in the provinces of Chieti, Teramo, Pescara and L'Aquila.
