Judging by the endless list of achievements accumulated by this Apulian red, it is easy to guess that it is one of the most precious gems of the Sampietrana winery's entire production. It is made from Negroamaro, the region's main grape variety, which is present in the blend up to 80%. With it, another Italian champion, the noble Montepulciano, one of the most widely represented in all of southern Italy. Brindisi DOP Riserva, Since 1952 is the result of a careful selection of the best grapes in the vineyard. Harvested strictly by hand, starting in the second week of September, after careful traditional vinification the wine matures in oak barrels for 12 months. Then, following bottling, it continues its maturation in the cellar for another year. Intense ruby red, extraordinarily elegant. The nose reveals a vinous aroma with notes of berries and a delicate vanilla nuance due to the passage in small oak barrels. In the mouth it is delicate, rightly tannic and very persistent. It goes well with spicy first courses, roast meats and mature cheeses.
