The Uco Valley is one of Argentina's most prestigious and renowned wine regions, located in the province of Mendoza. We are located in the Andes, with a continental climate and strong mountain influences. This, combined with its high altitude, guarantees marked temperature variations between day and night, creating ideal conditions for growing grapes. Warm days favour the ripening of the grapes, while cold nights preserve the acidity and aromatic characteristics. Among the most widely cultivated varieties here is undoubtedly Malbec, which, over the years, has also won important international awards. Malbec from the Uco Valley is known for its intense aromas of ripe fruit, such as black cherries, plums, blueberries and spicy and floral notes. A fine example is this Bodega Privada, proposed by RPB. Pure Malbec, vinified and stored in stainless steel tanks and cement vats to preserve the true character of the varietal. Like the best Malbecs, this one can age beautifully, developing complexity and maturity without losing its distinctive personality. But a bottle like this should never be forgotten in the cellar for too long. In Argentina, a Malbec like this would certainly be served with the typical Asado. We can uncork it at the next barbecue with friends.
