A talented young winemaker is the mastermind behind this The Party, a fascinating Malbec offered by Bodega Matias Riccitelli. We are located in Argentina's renowned Valle de Uco, where vineyards touch 1,500 meters above sea level. This particular wine region is characterized by a unique terroir, with an ideal climate for ripening Malbec grapes, resulting in wines of great structure and elegance. Harvesting is done manually between mid-March and the first week of April, using small 20-kg crates to preserve the integrity of the grapes. About 40 percent of the production is vinified from whole clusters without destemming, and alcoholic fermentation takes place in open concrete tanks with indigenous yeasts and at temperatures between 26 and 28 degrees. Two punching-downs are carried out daily. At the end of processing, the wine is aged in cement tanks for about 8 months. The Party shows a beautiful ruby red color of medium intensity in the glass, with aromas of red fruits and floral notes. In the mouth, the wine proves fresh and elegant, thanks to its excellent acidity. Perfect with medium-aged cheeses, as well as pasta dishes dressed with tomato-based sauces and red meats.
