    • Sensations An intriguing rosé, bright and full. The nose is characterised by notes of wild berry candy, strawberries and raspberries against an elegantly floral background of red rose and dog rose. On the palate, it conquers with its fruity character, enlivened by savouriness and freshness that invite one to taste again and make it particularly pleasant to drink.
    • Vinification harvest and storage of the grapes with carbonic snow. Vinification at low temperature with maceration on the skins for a few hours, racking and end of fermentation without skin contact. Malolactic fermentation occurs naturally.

      Toscana IGT Rosato "Scantianum" 2023
    • Fresh and fruity, this Toscana IGT Rosato Scantianum wins everyone over with its affable character. It is produced by the Cantina Cooperativa dei Vignaioli del Morellino and comes from a super Tuscan blend of equal parts Sangiovese and Ciliegiolo. The grapes are harvested when fully ripe and immediately conserved with carbonic snow to prevent the start of undesirable fermentation that could jeopardise the quality of the wine. Vinified at a low temperature, with maceration on the skins for a few hours, after alcoholic fermentation this rosé also undergoes malolactic fermentation, thus reducing its natural acidity but gaining in complexity and pleasantness. This is followed by maturation in steel in contact with the fine lees for about 3 months. Intriguingly pink, bright and full, the nose is characterised by notes of wild berry candy, strawberries and raspberries, on an elegantly floral background reminiscent of roses. In the mouth, then, it conquers with its fruity character, enlivened by savouriness and freshness. The long finish again plays on fruity and mineral notes. The Toscana IGT Rosato Scantianum is perfect with hors d'oeuvres based on cured meats, first and second courses based on white meats. Excellent, however, especially with fish soup.

      That of Cantina del Morellino is a fine story of successful cooperation in Tuscany. Founded in 1972, in fact, the cooperative winery of the Vignaioli del Morellino di Scansano was born thanks to the initiative of a small group of local producers, aware that in an increasingly large and global market, joining forces could really make the difference. That the initiative was the right one is proved by the fact that in the space of a few years that small group of visionaries has gradually expanded, without losing the helm and without compromising. In the 1980s, in fact, when many cooperatives decided to concentrate on quantity, the Vignaioli del Morellino continued to focus on quality. Huge investments have therefore been made over the years, both in the vineyard and in the cellar. Investments that, over time, have fortunately paid off. Today there are about 170 members of the winery, who work about 700 hectares of vineyards with passion and skill. Excellent quality, at excellent prices. This is, 50 years after its foundation, the cooperative winery of the Vignaioli del Morellino di Scansano. Certainly one of the most interesting production realities of the entire Maremma.
