    CHARACTERISTICS
    • TypeVino rosato fermo
    • Location Tuscany
    • Grapes sangiovese ed altre varietà complementari
    • Sensations Peach blossom pink colour. The nose is intriguing and pleasant: fruity notes reminiscent of pomegranate, pink grapefruit, wild strawberries, green apple and pear stand out. The palate is characterised by a good freshness accompanied by a pleasant softness; the aromas perceived on the nose return on the finish.
    • Vinification Part of the harvested grapes were destemmed, crushed and immediately pressed very softly to obtain a lightly coloured must; the other part, however, after destemming and crushing was left to macerate for a few hours in stainless steel tanks in order to extract more of the varietal aromas from the skins. The must obtained was cooled to a temperature of 10 °C to favour its natural clarification. After 48 hours it was transferred to stainless steel tanks where alcoholic fermentation took place at a temperature not exceeding 15 °C. The wine thus obtained was stored in stainless steel tanks at a temperature of 10 °C to preserve its aromatic component.

      "Giardino" Rosé Toscana IGT 2023
    • Giardino Rosé,' reads the winery's website, 'recounts the Tuscan landscape and its origins through delicate, graceful and fine tones. Its name exalts its floral nature'. We are talking about a rosé by Santa Cristina, Toscana IGT that is made from Sangiovese grapes for the most part with the addition of complementary native varieties. A delicate and perfumed rosé that is the result of careful processing, which involves soft crushing to obtain a lightly coloured must and, in part, a brief maceration of part of the mass in stainless steel tanks to extract more of the varietal aromas from the skins. Cold fermentation and refinement in stainless steel thus make it possible to obtain a wine characterised by a fine aromatic component. Giardino Rosé presents itself in the glass with a fascinating peach blossom pink colour. The nose is intriguing and pleasant: fruity notes reminiscent of pomegranate, pink grapefruit, wild strawberries, green apple and pear stand out. In the mouth, however, it is characterised by a good freshness, accompanied by a pleasant smoothness. A versatile and easy rosé, it accompanies a simple snack or a full meal. Dishes with delicate flavours, fish or meat, but also fresh cheeses and seasonal vegetables.

'On a high hill in Tuscany, not far from Siena and Perugia, stands the ancient town of Cortona'. It is with these words that the website of the Santa Cristina winery introduces its extraordinary location. The winery owes its name to the red wine Santa Cristina, the historic symbol of the company. Founded in 2006, over time the company - part of the Antinori group - has become a point of reference for wine experts. And not only. Thanks to the care always put into every process in the field and, of course, the excellent work in the cellar, both with native and international varieties. This gives rise to good local wines, characterised by the same artisanal style. Designed by the Hydea studio of Florence, Santa Cristina has a modern architectural structure, conceived according to criteria of minimal environmental impact while respecting the surrounding area.
