  • Sensations The visual impact is a beautiful intense violet red, very bright. Olfactory impressions denote very open and varietal fruity aromas, ranging from red cherry to morello cherry. In the mouth, the taste complexity is well amalgamated between the various tannic, acidic and alcoholic components, which make the wine savoury but very pleasant. The slightly bitterish aftertaste, reminiscent of almonds, is the typical vein present in this variety.
  • Vinification controlled fermentation temperatures and short macerations, sometimes only 4 to 5 days, to preserve the fragrance and preservability as much as possible. Then, after an initial cold decantation, it is kept for about 6/7 months in steel and one month in the bottle before being marketed.

    "Munfrina" Dolcetto d'Alba DOC 2022
  • 100% Dolcetto, from a vineyard located in the commune of Treiso, in Piedmont. This red wine by Pelissero stands out for its firm but elegant structure, the result of a unique terroir and careful processing. The vineyards, located at 300-400 metres above sea level, enjoy a particular microclimate and soil, capable of giving the wine unique characteristics. The vinification of Munfrina is designed to enhance the characteristics of the vine. The grapes are harvested by hand and undergo a short maceration, which can last as little as 4-5 days. This preserves the fragrance and freshness of the fruit, avoiding the extraction of overly aggressive tannins. Fermentation then takes place at a controlled temperature and the wine then matures in steel for about 6 or 7 months, before being bottled and resting for another month in the cellar. In the glass it presents itself with an intense and very bright purplish red colour. The nose offers a bouquet of intense and varietal fruity aromas, ranging from red cherry to morello cherry. In the mouth, on the other hand, it stands out for its firm but elegant structure, with soft, velvety tannins that integrate well with the acid and alcohol component. The finish is persistent, with a slightly bitterish aftertaste, typical of the Dolcetto grape variety. It is the ideal companion for Piedmontese hors d'oeuvres, mature cured meats, fresh cheeses and tasty first courses. It also pairs wonderfully with red meats, poultry and game.
