Dolcetto is the true family specialty. They have always cultivated it with passion and over the years it has been the subject of a careful selection that has led them to identify the cru, or rather the best vineyards. Those most suited to the production of this vine. Those capable of creating wines with a distinct personality. This is the case of this Dogliani Superiore Siri d'Jermu, produced with grapes from the vineyard of the same name. To the eye it is characterized by an intense ruby red color, with fragrant aromas of red fruit still crunchy and a hint of roasting to make it all more interesting. on the palate it is soft and elegant Medium-bodied, it is a pleasantly drinkable wine that can easily accompany various traditional dishes. Excellent with first courses based on egg pasta, it is simply perfect in combination with the delicious vitello tonnato.
What makes Italian wine unique in the world are the many small family businesses that work their vineyards with passion, enhancing the greatest heritage of typical grapes in the world. Among these, in Piedmont, there is the Pecchenino Company, founded at the end of the 1900s by grandfather Attilio and today run by his grandsons, Orlando and - once again - Attilio. In the meantime it has expanded from 8 to 30 hectares split between the municipalities of Dogliani, Monforte d'Alba and Bossolasco. Above all Dolcetto, then Nebbiolo and Barbera, but also Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Sauvignon. If in the countryside sustainable agriculture is practiced in full respect of the environment, in the winery every production step is aimed at achieving the highest quality.
