Journey through the Spain of wine. A territory as great as it is mysterious (at least for most Italian wine lovers). We are in Catalonia, a land full of contradictions but permeated with great charm. This is where Garoina, proposed by Grup Oliveda, was born. A small oenological gem, proposed in only 8,000 bottles. It belongs to the Empordà D.O., located in the North-East of Spain. A wine region that boasts a rich cultural heritage and a long history of wine production. The vineyards from which the Chardonnay grapes used in the production of Garoina come are located on soils rich in clay and granite, with a predominance of sauló, a particular granite that gives the soil a beautiful minerality. A new generation of vineyards, around 20 years old, the grapes are harvested by hand to preserve their integrity and quality. After soft pressing, the must ferments in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks. The result is a wine characterised by a beautiful bright yellow colour, enriched by small golden reflections that catch the light. On the nose, a complex and inviting aromatic bouquet, with hints of citrus fruits, banana and pineapple. In the mouth, it is intense, tasty and fresh. With a perfect balance of acidity and fruit.
