Group Oliveda

We are in Girnona, a town in the autonomous community of Catalonia on the banks of the River Onyar in north-eastern Spain. Here we find the Azienda Vinicola (Grup) Oliveda, a fine example of dedication and passion for wine, passed down through three generations. Founded by José Oliveda Casanovas and his wife Joana Rigau Ros, the company came to life during a period of great historical difficulties, thanks to the vision and determination of José, an extraordinary, inventive man. His ability to create a winery in times of war not only brought joy to the local community, but also helped generate prosperity in the area. Today, the winery is led by Alfons Freixa Oliveda, who has put all his energy and passion into this project for over 30 years, managing to innovate and grow the company, while maintaining the values and tradition handed down by his predecessors.
