How we love little oenological gems. Like the one found in this Re Famoso proposed by Trerè. The oenological gem, in this case, consists of the grape that makes up 50% of its blend and is called Famoso. An ancient traditional vine from Romagna, Famoso, also called 'Uva Rambela', is a grape variety that, after a period of neglect, has been rediscovered in the last decade. It yields wines characterised by intense aromas, similar to those of Moscato. In this case, the Famoso grape variety is blended with Chardonnay, which lends complexity to the whole, resulting in a very pleasant wine. A clear, pale straw yellow, this Re Famoso does not fail to live up to expectations, thanks to a distinct aromaticity reminiscent of herbaceous and citrus notes, particularly lime and grapefruit. In the mouth, it reveals itself to be a white of good structure and elegance. In this case, the marked acidity of the Famoso is well blunted by the graceful roundness of the chardonnay. The finish is savoury and tasty, delineating a complex and thirst-quenching wine.
