      Château de Saint-Amour Saint-Amour AOC 2022
    • Saint Amour AOC, Château de Saint Amour by Georges Duboeuf is a fine red wine from the Beaujolais region of France. Produced from Gamay grapes, this wine comes from vineyards located in the commune of Saint Amour, a highly vocated area. The soil here, rich in clay and granite gravel, gives the wine a distinctive minerality and a beautiful structure. At the same time, the region's temperate climate, with continental and Atlantic influences, favours a gradual ripening of the grapes, preserving freshness and aromatic liveliness. The grapes, harvested at the right degree of ripeness, are vinified using the traditional method. Temperature-controlled fermentation enhances the fruity aromas of Gamay, while prolonged maceration gives the finished wine more structure and complexity. Malolactic fermentation completes the process, softening the tannins and giving Saint Amour AOC Château de Saint Amour greater complexity. In the glass, it has an intense garnet red colour. On the nose, clean aromas of black fruit, ripe cherries, blackberries and delicate floral notes, especially roses, intertwine harmoniously. In the mouth, it conquers with its firm structure and generous character. Silky tannins and a vibrant acidity support a sip of extraordinary persistence. On the everyday table, it beautifully accompanies delicate dishes such as filet mignon of veal, beef cheek and mature cheeses. A Beaujolais Cru perfect for special occasions and for lovers of red wines with great personality.
