The most classic of cuts for this Prestige, Chianti Riserva Superiore DOCG. In fact, it is made from 90% Sangiovese grapes, with the addition of just a touch of Canaiolo. The vineyards are located in the are of Montespertoli, in the province of Florence, where Chianti originated and where Sangiovese grows vigorously thanks to a warm climate and soils rich in marl. The workmanship is also classic. Fermentation and maceration for about two weeks at a controlled temperature to properly extract tannins and colour. Then it is aged first in Allier, Nevers and Vosges barriques for about a year, and in large oak casks for another 6-8 months. From here on, the wine is kept in steel until it is bottled and then left to rest in the bottle for another 12 months before being put on the market. The result is a wine characterized by a beautiful dark red colour, with a complex bouquet reminiscent of red and black fruit, with black cherry and wild berries in good evidence, and violet. All accompanied by strong hints of vanilla. In the mouth it is satisfying and has a good structure. The finish is pleasantly tannic.
