    • Sensations In the glass, it is a brilliant ruby red, which with time is enriched with garnet reflections, a sign of a maturity that promises complexity. The nose releases an intense and refined bouquet, characterised by notes of ripe red fruit such as cherries and plums in alcohol. These are joined by elegant nuances of liquorice, hints of dried flowers, hints of undergrowth and a spicy background reminiscent of cinnamon and black pepper. The entry on the palate is sumptuous and well-defined, with a velvety tannic texture that perfectly complements the wine's rich fruitiness. Cherry and black cherry flavours emerge vividly, supported by a balanced freshness that adds depth and persistence. The structure is robust but well-balanced, with a long, satisfying aftertaste in which sweet spice notes and a hint of dark chocolate return.

    • An important wine. Perfect for great occasions. An Amarone della Valpolicella, from the Classica zone, the most historic one, and labelled as a Riserva, thanks to its long ageing in wood. We are talking about Destinée, one of the jewels of the Rubinelli Vajol house. A wine of rare elegance and complexity, which originates in the Conca del Vajol. This hilly area of the Veneto, with its calcareous and tuffaceous soils, represents an ideal terroir for the cultivation of the indigenous Amarone grapes. The Conca del Vajol, moreover, between San Pietro in Cariano and San Floriano, offers perfect sun exposure and a mild, breezy climate, ideal conditions that allow the grapes to ripen slowly. Corvina, Corvinone, Rondinella, Molinara and Oseleta, the skilful blend makes this Amarone extremely interesting and complex. True to tradition, this red wine is the product of a strictly manual harvest. The grapes are carefully selected and then subjected to the natural drying process that gives the finished wine its typical rich and intense profile. Fermentation takes place slowly, followed by long ageing in large oak casks of 30 and 50 hectolitres. In the glass, Amarone della Valpolicella Classico Riserva Destinée has an intense ruby red colour with garnet hues. The nose is surprising for its complex and enveloping bouquet, with hints of ripe red fruit, black cherry under spirits, dried flowers, liquorice, sweet spices and subtle notes of undergrowth. In the mouth, it is full and well-structured, with a juicy, enveloping sip. The tannins are present but silky, balanced by a lively acidity that lends freshness and a nice rhythm to the palate. The finish is long and persistent, with pleasant fruity and spicy returns. Destinée is a wine for long ageing, capable of evolving for decades, waiting for a special occasion. On the table, it will easily accompany full-bodied and strongly flavoured dishes such as braised meats, game, roasted red meats and mature cheeses. It is also perfect as a meditation wine, to be savoured slowly after dinner, perhaps accompanied by a good dark chocolate.
