On the label it is indicated as Campania Bianco IGT. Its name, "Suadens", has been carefully selected by the managers of the Nativ winery to represent the persuasive character of this wine. It is the result of an interesting project to promote the native grape varieties of Irpinia and the typical local fruit grown exclusively in this area. Suadens Bianco, in particular, is made from a superbly harmonious blend of Fiano, Greco and Falanghina grapes. It's hard to imagine a trio more representative of the region and the territory. Harvesting takes place in September, when the grapes have reached the right degree of ripeness, perfect balance of aromas and natural freshness. Fermentation in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks using selected strains of yeast. At the end of the transformation process, the wine is refined in stainless steel tanks, with a brief passage in barriques lasting 6 months. This is a fresh and fruity wine, with notes of Limoncella apple, Annurca apple and Bellella peach from Melito Irpino. A super versatile wine, it is easily paired with very different dishes. Excellent, for example, when served with a board of medium-aged cheeses, it accompanies both white meat dishes and shellfish.
Called 'Campania Felix' for the fertility of its land and its vocation for vine cultivation, Irpinia has been a land dedicated to agriculture since ancient times. Here, in fact, the famous 'emperors' wines' were produced. And here, today, is the Nativ farm. We are in Paternopoli, in the heart of Irpinia, and the new winery is the result of the will and commitment of Dr. Mario Ercolino, an internationally renowned oenologist, and Dr. Roberta Pirone, a specialist in food science. The aim is a noble one, to produce wines of excellence, the result of important and deep-rooted experience in the sector. Nativ owns 15 hectares of native vineyards. A significant part of them is located in the South-Eastern area, along the ridge that connects the villages of Castelvetere sul Calore to Paternopoli, passing through Montemarano and Castelfranci. Here a marvellous Mediterranean climate exposes the area to cold, damp winters and hot summers, with large temperature swings between day and night.
