Simple words that leave no room for doubt about the territorial and artisanal nature of this interesting Piedmontese white wine, made from 100% Timorasso grapes. A wine characterised by a simple and pleasant structure and a moderate alcohol content, it is aged in stainless steel vats for 6 months, in contact with its fine lees, before being bottled. The result is a wine characterised by a beautiful, lively straw yellow colour with light greenish reflections. The nose reveals a good concentration, with a fresh bouquet that recalls notes of white flowers, citrus fruits and fresh fruit. It is on the palate, however, that this Piccolo Derthona really surprises, offering a mineral, fresh and slightly savoury taste. In fact, the winery was founded in 2016 as a spin-off of the old family farm. Today the winery is run by Luca and Stefano and can count on about 10 hectares of vineyards, completely cultivated in certified organic agriculture. We are in the Colli Tortonesi, a hilly area of lower Piedmont, between Lombardy and Liguria, with an altitude that varies from 170 metres above sea level to almost 500 metres. The two young men have a deep-rooted bond with their territory, which is why they have chosen to focus exclusively on wines that are symbolic of their hills. The company is a member of FIVI, the Italian federation of independent winemakers, which brings together all the small winemakers in Italy, intent on producing typical, authentic and original wines.
