Founded in 1893, Terlan Winery is one of the most progressive winemaking cooperatives in all of South Tyrol. Its 143 current members cultivate 190 hectares of vineyards, resulting in a total annual production of about one and a half million bottles, divided into two lines, to which are added a few gems of great oenological value. In the modern winery they ripen exclusively DOC wines, especially whites, thanks mainly to the new area built in 2009, where the wines have all the space they need to grow and develop to their full potential. From an architectural point of view, the Terlan Winery also deserves a special mention. On the outside, in fact, part of the building has been covered with red porphyry, the typical rock of the area, while the roof of the winery has been greened and covered with vines, thus integrating into the surrounding cultivated landscape. The winery's wine archive is unique in Italy with its 100,000 bottles from the 1955 vintage to the present. However, the winery also holds some ancient treasures: some bottles dating back to the year of its founding!
