A great classic. This Pinot Blanc from Konrad Oberhofer is certainly not a wine that needs any introduction. A grape variety of French origin, it expresses itself best on the steep slopes of South Tyrol. In this case, the grapes come from vineyards with good exposure, characterised by light, marly soils. After the harvest, the grapes are quickly brought to the cellar to begin the processing phase. It starts with a soft crushing to obtain a clear must that, thanks to a slow natural precipitation process, is free of sediment. This is followed by the temperature-controlled fermentation phase, which is followed by rapid ageing in steel. A straw-yellow colour of medium intensity, the nose reveals warm and persistent floral aromas. In the mouth it is pleasantly fresh, thanks to a marked acidity. This characteristic also indicates considerable possibilities for evolution and resistance to the passage of time. A wine characterised by excellent balance, it is an excellent accompaniment to hors d'oeuvres and fish dishes.
